Employment
Working in the Disability Sector
It is often difficult to know whether or not you would be suited to a particular occupation.
There are many qualities required to effectively and ethically support people with a disability. These qualities can often be gained from different fields of work and life experiences. Age and maturity can often be an advantage and men still seem to be under represented in this field of work.
While it may be true that supporting people with a disabiltiy can be challenging, it is also true that the work will often produce a silver lining.
