Carinbundi Day Services Programs
Our Vision:
Over the past few weeks, the staff from the Day Services Program have been
developing a Vision for the program which encapsulates what we are trying to achieve. We have come up with:
"Individuality within a fun-filled, caring environment"
Our Mission
Statements:
To guide the program and its staff as we strive to achieve our Vision, we have also developed a number of Mission
Statements. These will direct all that we do, and we welcome your feedback on what we have created. Our Mission os to:
1.
Provide quality, choice-based activities;
2. Deliver programs in a respectful and professional
manner;
3. Create opportunities and life-skill experiences for all participants; and
4. Achieve positive outcomes for families.
The
Programs.
This program provides support to young people making the transition from a special school or special education unit to
adult life.
Support programs are developed around the individual needs of the young person in a way that reflects what is important to them and how
they wish to be supported.
The program also supports them as they work towards and achieve the goals and outcomes that they and their families have
chosen.
Activities create opportunities for ongoing learning and development; activities are fun, life-skill based and include social interaction
components. Activities can take place in the Community Centre or out in the local community
