Disability Support Worker
Disability Support workers support and assist people, who are service users of Burnett Respite Services Inc, in a range of personal care and/or support tasks relevant to their full participation in the community i.e. assist service users to participate and make choices in community activities, assist service users to maintain daily routines and activities, and provide personal care assistance where necessary.

Administrative Officer/s
Administrative staff provide a range of support functions to the Service Manager, Program Coordinators, Project Officers and other staff and service users. The role includes being the first point of contact for the general public and other visitors, performing a range of clerical/adminsitrative duties for the service and assisting in the preparation of reports both financial and general.

The purpose of the DayServices Coordinator is to ensure that the overall management of day services is maintained in a manner which sees all participants supported and guided to reach an agreed level of independence and skill levels. This position is responsible for the Post School Services Program, Activity Centre and other Day Programs run from time to time.
The Supported Accommodation Coordinator ensures that the operation of all supported accommodation houses under the control of the organisation is carried out in a manner that supports and assists those people with a disability, who are residents of those houses to maintain a lifestyle as near as possible to other members of their community.

Training Officer
The purpose of the Training Officer is to oversee the training requirements of all staff within the organisation and ensure that all elements of staff training are delivered in a timely and appropriate manner, and at an appropriate time.

Workplace Health and Safety Officer
The Workplace Health and Safety Officer provides advice and assistance to the Service Manager and staff on a range of matters; which ensures the organisation recognises and meets its obligation to provide and maintain an environment which is, as far as is practicable, safe and without risks to the health and wellbeing of emplyees, service users and visitors.

From time to time this organisation has the need to employ Project Officers to develop, manage and report on one off or special projects.

Unpaid/Volunteer Positions
This organisation, as do many others, seeks the support of our community in providing unpaid or volunteer hours. This support is especially necessary in ensuring we have a strong, viable and representative management structure. If you believe you have the interests of people with a disability at heart, please consider putting yourself forward and take on the challenge.
The time you need to provide can be as short as a few hours a month or as much as you can spare should you take on an executive position.
The Management Committee meets each second Tuesday of the month and fgenerally starts and finishes their meetings on time, with the Annual General Meeting held during August/September each year.
